    Bestbiketour.com is pleased to introduce you to the TOUR OF ISRAEL – an amazing seven days cycling experience that will show you Israel at its best and from the best seat in the house – the saddle of your bike .

    The tour departs from, of course, the city of Jerusalem and covers the Upper Galilee, the Hula Valley, the Golan Heights, the Sea of Galilee, Judea, Red Sea, Eilat and Jerusalem mountains and the Galilean city of Safed . The cycling experience that awaits you is enriched with culture, local cuisine and magical encounters with the biblical history of the Holy Land .

    The tour is fully escorted and lead by Bestbiketour’s professional team which will guide you through the tour, offer technical and logistical support and take care of every detail in order for you to do what like most: Ride your best and indulge yourself.

    The tour consists of seven days and six nights, of which the first day is the gathering and preparations day, four cycling days with last day as a rest day in Jerusalem with a short bike tour around the city.

    Tour By Day

    Day 1: 19th of March, Saturday (TRANSFER TO SAFED)

    The first day of the tour will be dedicated to mostly to preparation and also some site seeing.

    We will meet in Tel Aviv Airport at noon and head north on the tour vans.

    By the afternoon we will arrive at our hotel in the old city of Safed . The history of the city of Safed dates back more than 2,000 years and it is known as the city of Kabbalah. After checking in to our rooms we will dedicate some time for bike fitting and technical preparations for the up coming tour.

    We will spend the evening in a special walking night tour in the alleys of the old city, where you will understand why Safed is considered such a mystical city. After the walking tour we will have dinner at one of the finest restaurants in the old city.

    Day 2: 20th of March, Sunday ( from SAFED to the SEA OF GALILEE)

    After the Galilean breakfast at the hotel, we will set off on our bikes through the streets of the city towards north.

    The first part of the ride will take us through the mountains and forests of the northern Galilee

    On our way down we will cruise through one of the local Druze villages, ‘Masad’e’, well known for its authentic Druze delights. After filling our taste glands with sweet traditional candy, we will continue our descent via the scenic route of the Odem Forest. Passing through the eastern part of the Golan Heights we will a chance to learn a little about the heroic battles that were fought there during the ‘1973 Yom Kipur War’.

    Continuing our descent, we will pass through the city of Kazerin, the “capital” of the Golan Heights. This small city holds a rich historical background. We will have a quick tour of the ancient city and have a wonderful local meal. We will continue our drop down towards the Sea of Galilee along the beautiful Jordan River.

    We will finish our day’s ride at ‘Amnon Beach’, where you will relax your legs in the cool water of the lake, letting yourself recap all the incredible adventures and the sites you’ve seen. After a rejuvenating bath in the lake (and if time allows) we will visit the Christians sites of Capernaum and Mountain of Beatitudes. By evening we will arrive at our hotel in Jerusalem.

    Day 3: 21th of March, Monday (from JERUSALEM to the DEAD SEA, the lowest place on earth!)

    We will set off from the hotel by bus with a 15 minutes drive through the city to our riding starting point in Ein Kerem. We will begin our ride through the twisting roads of the Jerusalem forests and the Judea hills towards the Ellah Valley.

    Along the rural roads of the valley and Judean hills we will visit a local winery .

    After enjoying the real offerings of the land of milk and honey, we will continue riding towards south to Bet Guvrin National Park where the ride ends and we will crawl through the ancient caves which served as hiding caves for the Jews in their revolt against the Romans. We continue riding until we arrive to the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth.

    Day 4: 22th of March, Tuesday (from ARAVA VALLEY to MITZPE RAMON)

    A true desert cycling experience through the mountains and craters of the Negev desert. Overnight int he desert town of Mitzpe Ramon.

    Day 5: 23th of March, Wednesday( from MITZPE RAMON to EILAT)

    Crossing the Negev desert North to south, all the way to the red sea.

    Overnight in Eilat

    Day 6: 24th of March, Thursday (TOUR OF PETRA, JORDAN)

    A day tour in Petra with a outside tour operator. Leaving Eilat in the morning and return in the evening. Overnight in Eilat

    Transfer back to Tel Aviv.
